5 Reasons to Hire a Videographer for your Elopement

I am so excited for this blog post! I have worked with videographers for years, but it wasn’t until Covid hit that I truly understood the importance of adding video to your elopement day. I was so inspired that I added a videographer to my team this year, and I want to share all the reasons why you should hire Todd to tag along on your elopement day.

5 Reasons to Hire an Elopement Videographer

1. For the People Who Can’t be There

Whether you’re eloping because it feels right or because you have to downsize your guest list due to Covid, there are bound to be some very special people that aren’t present. Photos are an amazing way to quickly share your day with friends and family, but a video will help them feel like they were there.

I have personally had family members reach out to me to thank me for the videos, and that’s when I knew I made the right choice to add a videographer to my team.

2. For the Emotions

There is something about video that allows you to truly relive all the feels you had on your elopement day. Video just hits different. I don’t know if it’s the songs or the slo mo or just the editing in general, but they give me goosebumps.

3. For the Audio

Have you thought about this one? Imagine being able to listen to your spouse’s vows, their laugh, and choking up as they are reading their vows.

4. Because Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Like peanut butter and jelly, Biden and Harris, Megan and Todd. Photo and video are a dynamic duo that work better together. And Todd and I work well as a team! Plus, when you hire both of us, you don’t have to deal with invoices, questionnaires, and extra costs from yet another vendor.

5. For Future Generations

I’m going to get a little sentimental here. I showed my mom one of the first videos Todd filmed for Hazel & Lace, and she cried. Through tears, she said “I wish I had a video like this of me and your dad.” And then I started crying because I wish they had that video too. Once again, reaffirming that video is 100% the right thing to offer. And bringing up the important point that these videos are priceless to our families.
