Katy and Zach wanted to get married on a mountain, and what better way to do that then to plan an epic and intimate Breckenridge Colorado elopement!?

Here’s some Q&A from the gorgeous Katy…

How did you and your husband first meet?

We met when I was in x-ray school. Zach was a tech at one of the hospitals that I had clinicals at.

How did your husband propose?

We were in Portland, OR and one of my must stop at locations was VooDoo Donuts. Zach knew that so he called ahead and had them make a special donut. One random day during the trip we went there. Zach asked for a special donut. In typical fat girl fashion, I couldn’t wait until we got back to the hotel to eat one. I open the box and find a donut that says “ will you marry me?” And I looked over and Zach was on one knee. I love donuts, so it was perfect!

What are your favorite things to do together?

Try new restaurants, hike, travel, and netflix and literally chill with our two cats.

Why did you decide to elope in Colorado?

We had family drama. We wanted the wedding to be about us and our future together. Halfway through planning our 200 person wedding, we said screw it and started looking at elopement options in Colorado. It was the best decision ever!

What was your favorite thing about your wedding day?

The chillness of it all. I did all of my favorite things with all of my favorite people.

What advice do you have for other couples that are thinking about eloping?

Just do it!! You won’t regret it.
