Kristen and Harry had a sweet and intimate church wedding in Colorado Springs, and I was there to capture their bridal portraits at the Garden of the Gods. I am so happy for these two! I’ve gotten to know Kristen over the last year, and she is an amazing hair and makeup artist! Her mother is also a very talented florist and made her bouquet!

Now for some Q&A from the gorgeous bride…
How did you and your husband meet?
Harry and I met online when I lived in Denver and he was in Colorado Springs.
How did he propose?
He proposed at Disney world! We were at dinner and went out on the balcony to overlook the castle lit up at night and he got down on one knee and proposed!
What is your advice for other future brides when planning their wedding?
My advice is don’t let the glitz and glam of a wedding overpower what the day is truly about. When you look back on your wedding day you may not remember the expensive dinner, or amazing decorations but you will always remember how you felt walking down the isle and seeing your future husband!
What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
I don’t know if I could say there was a favorite part to planning the wedding. I think my favorite part was the excitement that I’m getting married to the love of my life!
Why did you choose Colorado for your wedding?
I chose Colorado because we both love it so much, and want to settle down here. It’s such a gorgeous place to be!
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
There’s so many parts of that day that are my favorite. But I would have to say walking down the aisle. Not only cause I was walking towards the man I was to marry but having my dad next to me as I walk down was the best! We were celebrating two things that day, our wedding and my dads birthday!
What do you look forward to in the future now that you’re married?
It will be cheesy to say but I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him. Knowing that I’ll always have him to support me, love me and to make me laugh! And for all the new memories and adventures in our life!
