Happy second birthday to Hazel & Lace Photography!

I’ve been shooting weddings since 2014, but I decided it was time to rebrand and start from scratch in the summer of 2016. Hazel & Lace Photography was born, and it’s hard to believe that this journey started only two years ago. In honor of H&L’s second birthday, I decided to create a list of all the exciting things that have happened as this business has grown over the past two years.

Year in Review

Over the past year on instagram, I went from having 1700 followers to over 8100. Instagram has become one of my favorite marketing tools! I have met so many cool brides, photographers, and vendors through this app. So shout out to all my amazing Instagram followers!!

I photographed 18 portraits sessions, including engagements, surprise proprosals, anniversary sessions, and day after sessions! I’m looking forward to another fun engagement season this fall and have several more anniversary sessions booked as well.

I photographed 18 weddings in the past year and have many many more on the books! Weddings are definitely what I live for, and I have been so lucky to meet so many amazing couples.

I photographed 11 styled shoots, which are always so much fun!

I started mentoring fellow photographers in business, posing, and shooting styles. I love sharing my knowledge and I hope to build this aspect of my business in the future.

I traveled to Oregon, New Orleans, Arizona, Florida, California, Mexico, and all over Colorado and New Mexico this past year. It has been amazing.

My images were published in a variety of wedding blogs, including Magnolia Rouge and Rocky Mountain Bride.

What the future holds…

There’s a lot of exciting things happening with Hazel & Lace Photography as we move into year three. For one, I quit my “other job,” which is super exciting to me because now I can put all my attention into my business and my awesome clients. This moment has taken years of hard work and essentially working two full time jobs for a long time as my photography business became more profitable.

I have also hired an associate photographer, Sara, who photographed my wedding four years ago. She recently moved to Denver and I’m so excited to share this photography journey with her and have her on my team.

I’ll be growing my mentorship program and offering styled shoots and workshops this upcoming year, which I’m super excited about!

I will be traveling to San Diego, Joshua Tree, Arizona, Zion, New Mexico, Southern California, Northern California, and Iceland over the next year, and will be adding more travel dates as the year goes on!
