Happy THIRD birthday to Hazel & Lace Photography!

I’ve been shooting weddings since 2014, but I decided it was time to rebrand and start from scratch in the summer of 2016. Hazel & Lace Photography was born, and it’s hard to believe that this journey started only three years ago. In honor of H&L’s third birthday, I decided to create a list of all the exciting things that have happened as this business has grown over the past three years.

Year in Review

Over the past year on Instagram, I went from having 8,100 followers to over 11,500. Instagram has become one of my favorite marketing tools! I have met so many cool brides, photographers, and vendors through this app. So shout out to all my amazing Instagram followers!!

I photographed 40 portraits sessions, including adventure sessions, engagements, anniversary sessions, and day after sessions!

I photographed 23 weddings and elopements in the past year and have many many more on the books! Weddings are definitely what I live for, and I have been so lucky to meet so many amazing couples.

Since I’m so booked up, I’ve been offering associate wedding packages with Sara, who photographed my wedding back in 2014! That’s been pretty successful so far and we are getting great reviews!

I have continued mentoring fellow photographers in business, posing, and shooting styles. I love sharing my knowledge and I hope to build this aspect of my business in the future. I even launched The Nomadic Workshop!

I traveled to Iceland, Boston, New Orleans, Arizona, Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Bermuda, San Diego, Wyoming, and all over Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico this past year. It has been amazing.

My images were published in a variety of wedding blogs, including Rocky Mountain Bride and Wandering Weddings.

I won The Knot Best of Weddings 2019 award!

I started living on the road full time in March in a 19 foot camper! I am living the dream.

What the future holds…

There’s a lot of exciting things happening with Hazel & Lace Photography as I move into year four. After traveling full time over the past six months, I have decided to “settle down” in Taos, New Mexico. I use the term settle down loosely because I am still traveling just as much as I have been, and I still have my little camper, Betty. But it’s nice to have a home to come back to. I purchased a 35ft fifth wheel that I am in the process of remodeling so I can continue living life rent-free and mortgage-free.

I’ll continue growing my mentorship program and offering styled shoots and workshops this upcoming year, which I’m super excited about!

I will continue traveling all over the west, and I’m planning on adding more international travel as well. I’ll be heading to Peru in October!
