I first met Allison and Ryan in a coffee shop in Denver. Allison and Ryan’s wedding at Willow Ridge Manor was amazing. It was raining on and off the whole day, and these two did not bat an eye about it. They had loved ones travel from near and far to attend this Colorado wedding outside of Denver, and
Now for some Q&A from the gorgeous Allison:
How did Ryan propose?
Ryan suggested that we take a spontaneous weekend trip to Ouray and Silverton, Colorado to go explore some new towns and do some hiking (or what I thought was spontaneous…he had actually meticulously planned this for months). We had a great weekend exploring the towns, the shops, meeting locals. We even got to eat breakfast with the mayor of Silverton because we were the only visitors in town since it was during an off-season. The last day of the trip, we hiked the 8 mile round trip snowy trek up to Island Lake in the San Juan mountains. The lake at the top was this amazing bright, almost tropical looking blue color. When we got to the top of the mountain Ryan asked our friend to take a picture of us. I went to hand our friend my camera and when I walked back to Ryan, he was on one knee with a ring in hand. I immediately started bawling my eyes out and our friend, Freddie, perfectly captured the moment!
