Dani and Kyle have lived and traveled all over the world (they’re currently in Finland), but they chose their Enchanted Vine Barn wedding because Dani spent a lot of her childhood summers in Ruidoso, New Mexico. When I asked Dani to describe her wedding in three words, she told me “bearhug, camp, and community.” I LOVED that this was totally the vibe. This wedding was definitely special, and it even sprinkled some rain during their first kiss to send them some luck.

Some Q&A from the amazing Dani:

How they met: We met on the lake over a long cabin weekend. I was driving a ski boat full of my girlfriends, and we pulled up to our cabin’s dock. Kyle happened to be sitting on it himself (having been ditched by his friends because the other boat was too full). He ended up staying the rest of the weekend on our boat and the rest is history:-)

Proposal Story: He was in the middle of doing a 30 days of presents for my 30th birthday thing, and surprised me on a bike ride in Chicago with my 19th present.. that was an engagement ring. The best part was he later surprised me with our friends/family having flown in and we all did a trolley pub crawl around Chicago. Lots of surprises that weekend.

Favorite thing about the wedding day… was all of the people that traveled near and far to be there for the weekend. First time I have ever looked around a room and known and loved all the people around. We had so much fun.
