2018 Year in Review

Wow, you guys, 2018 was an amazing year! I don’t even know where to start. This was my busiest year I’ve had in business so far, and I feel so incredibly lucky! This job has connected me with so many amazing couples, vendors, and locations. I have found so much inspiration in the vows I have heard, the love stories that were shared, and the adventures I have gone on. Honestly, I have learned a lot about life. Every single bride and groom I’ve met has taught me something new.

2018 stats

  • I photographed 29 weddings and elopements!
  • I photographed 11 engagement sessions, 5 day after sessions, and various family and portrait sessions.
  • I traveled to the Grand Canyon, Florida, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, San Diego, Ruidoso, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Durango, Moab, Zion National Park, Abiquiu, Breckenridge, Temecula, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Horseshoe Bend, Silverton, Ouray, and Boston.
  • I drove over 20,000 miles.
  • I flew 14,533 on 12 different flights (thanks to app in the air for helping me figure out that stat)
  • I was featured on Rocky Mountain Bride three times! Check them out here.
  • I won The Knot’s Best of Weddings award!! Which is only awarded to the top 4% of wedding photographers. Woohoo!
  • My husband and I finally got our own professional photos taken by And Two Were Tamed, you can check out the blog post here.
  • My husband and I also celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary.
  • I started mentoring fellow photographers.

My goals for 2019

  • Travel more internationally. So far I have plans to go to Bermuda and Iceland. I’m hoping to add Europe to that list soon.
  • Mentor more photographers and share my knowledge, I want to encourage other people to pursue careers and businesses that make them happy
  • Live on the road!
  • Really focus on investing emotionally into my couples
