Kali, JT, and myself hiked up to St. Mary’s Glacier and had a blast exploring and snapping photos together. It was pouring rain in Denver when we both started driving to the trailhead. I think we were all understandably nervous that the weather was going to ruin everything, but we persevered and it ended up being the perfect fall day! Kali and JT are college sweethearts that you can tell are just meant for each other. They were finen with anything I asked of them (hey, climb on that rock, pick Kali up, spin her around!), and you could tell they were having a great time while doing it. I am shooting their wedding next year at Space Gallery, and I can’t wait!!
Now for some Q&A from the gorgeous Kali…
We first met at the beginning of our senior year at Colorado State through mutual friends, we hit it off immediately and the rest was history.
How did your fiancé propose?
I had just gotten a new job so Jensen told me that we were going to spend the weekend in Vail to celebrate – it was a good cover because I had NO idea. He bought me a new dress and said that we were going to a special dinner that night. When we walked in to the restaurant we had a beautiful table by the window and he proposed. He had it all planned out with the owner, champagne, pictures, etc.
What are your favorite things to do together?
We are lucky in the sense that we have all of the same friends and they all get along – we love hanging out with them and trying out new activities in Denver. In the winter we are avid skiers and love going up to the mountains for the weekend. We also love a good show – especially if we can binge it on Netflix.
What was your favorite thing about taking your engagement photos?
Our favorite thing was how much FUN it was. I think you can tell from the photos how much genuine laughter and happiness was going on between us.
