Julia and Ry’s Buena Vista elopement started with a 2am wake up call. We met these lovebirds, their three dogs, and close friends at a trailhead while it was pitch black outside. We hiked up a steep 3000 feet in elevation to the top of Hope Pass, which is 12,600 ft above sea level. A cold front and snow had just gone through Colorado a few days prior, but the morning was oddly perfect with barely a breeze. Reaching the top of the pass was epic! We were all so incredibly happy, even their two golden retrievers were excited. But the most awesome thing was the love Julia and Ry have for each other. These two were so pumped to get married! We had fun taking photos at the top of the pass, but then hiked back down to a nice clearing where their older dog Sam could join them for the ceremony. They involved all of their friends and family that joined them, and it was truly such an amazing experience to be a part of.
