Cheyanne and Kaleb’s intimate and emotional Rocky Mountain National Park elopement was photographed by my associate photographer, Sara. I am so bummed that I wasn’t there to personally witness these two exchange their vows, but so happy they chose us both me and Sara to be a part of their wedding day.  Cheyanne and Kaleb are high school sweethearts that chose an intimate wedding in the mountains of Colorado so they could celebrate their marriage in a truly intentional way. They were surrounded by their best friends and close family, and chose the Moraine Park Amphitheater for their ceremony.

Here’s some Q&A from the sweetest bride, Cheyanne…

How did you and your husband first meet?

We met when cooties were still in existence HA! We were just children when we began to fall in love- before we even knew. Kaleb was first my twin’s best friend and then I, his high school sweetheart. We have shared life together really.

How did your husband propose?

It was a such a sweet, genuine and loving moment! One of my favorite places that I had visited was Shedd’s Aquarium in Chicago. This is where Kaleb and I took our first trip together. He got on one knee, with the beautiful and colorful, 360-degree ocean aquarium filling the backdrop and asked if I would take every trip with him for the rest of our lives.

What are your favorite things to do together?

We love to travel and explore new places together! He and I also enjoy binge watching The Office together.

Why did you decide to elope/have an intimate ceremony?

It was important to us that we be married surrounded by our closest family and friends! Our intimate ceremony taking place in the beautiful mountains allowed us to create a day with unique memories that only Estes Park could offer. Having an intimate ceremony in the mountains is reflective of who we are as a couple. We were able to define our day as we imagined, and we could focus on our commitment to one another and be our true authentic selves and being fully present in the moments of the day.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding day?

I would have to say that we mutually agree that the serene, yet majestic vibe that RMNP brought to our big day was truly captivating and we cherish that. We were so happy to celebrate with the most important people in our lives with an intimate night of delicious food, great drinks and good music!

What advice do you have for other couples that are thinking about eloping?

Do it! It was absolutely everything we imagined it would be and we reflect on the day without regret. An intimate elopement allows the couple to concentrate on, personal and intentional moments during their wedding day.
