I don’t even know where to start, because I love these two so much! Katy and Justin had their Durango Colorado wedding on basically the most perfect day at the Black Diamond Lodge (formerly Silverpick Lodge). In the weeks leading up to their wedding, forest fires had swept through the area, and they didn’t know if they would have a venue to say their vows. But luckily the lodge was saved, and their wedding went on as planned. These two travel all over and also met me in Rocky Mountain National Park for their engagement session, and again in Arizona for a portrait session in Horseshoe Bend. They’re super adventurous and did a great job planning this gorgeous wedding in Durango.
Now for some quick Q&A from the gorgeous Katy…
How do you and your fiancé first meet?
We met at a country bar here in Albuquerque.
How did your fiancé propose?
Justin planned a little “staycation” at the Tamaya Resort and he made reservations at their restaurant and proposed when dessert came out.
What are your favorite things to do together?
We love to travel and do adventurous outdoor activities together.
