Bayli and Andres are high school sweethearts that drove all the way from Texas to have their engagement session at Rocky Mountain National Park. These two were troopers! It was threatening to rain the whole time and was cold and windy, but we managed to stop at three different locations within the park for their engagement photos, including a trailhead near Bear Lake, Moraine Park, and Trail Ridge Road. These two were fun, laid back, and down to have a good time.
Now for some Q&A from the gorgeous and adventurous Bayli…
How did you and your fiancé first meet?
We both grew up in Stanton, Texas and went to the same school. We started dating in high school, I was a sophomore and he was a junior.
How did Andres propose?
My fiancé proposed on December 16, 2017. This was suppose to be his “late birthday celebration”, and all of his family was coming down to celebrate. Little did I know, he had been planning this day for months and my family was also in on the surprise. My dad and I pulled up to this beautiful house, one that I had never been to before. As I walked through the side gate onto the back patio of the house, I saw my handsome fiancé standing and waiting for me with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen him give. I then noticed a flash off to the side, which was my best friend of 17 years capturing the sweet moment of me finally realizing what this “late birthday celebration” really was! As I continued to walk down the patio, I noticed all our family and friends watching this take place. We’ve been together for a little over 6 years, so this was definitely a day we were all awaiting and so excited for. 🙂 As I finally met Andres, I heard “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran playing in the background and we walked towards an arch that was decorated beautifully with flowers and greenery. (The arch that Andres used was actually one his grandfather made for Andres’ parents wedding day. This absolutely melted my heart and was such a special touch.) After reading me a note full of our many memories together, we continued our engagement celebration inside with our friends and family!
What do you guys like to do together?
We love going on coffee runs together, no matter the time of day. We enjoy staying active together, which can get pretty serious sometimes, because we’re both so competitive. 😉 No matter the occasion, we’re both pretty easy to please and enjoy spending time together, even if that means lounging around the house.
