Tiffany and Ian traveled all the way from Chicago for their Boulder engagement session. I knew we would get along great when Tiffany reached out to me and didn’t bat an eye when I recommended doing their session at sunrise. Sunrise is such an amazing time because you the light is amazing for photos and there’s no one else around. Watching the sunrise over the mountains is always a cool experience, especially for couples who are from out of town. I met up with Tiffany and Ian around six in the morning and we explored Chautauqua Park and Flagstaff Mountain together, laughing and having fun. I grew up in Chicago so it was nice to be around some fellow Chicagoans!
These two are getting married next September in Chicago and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
Now for some Q&A from the gorgeous Tiffany…
How did you and your fiancé first meet?
We’ve actually known each other since junior high! I used to try to set him up with all of my girlfriends b/c I thought he was the cutest thing, just too shy to ever make a move. We then started dated our senior year of high school, 9 years later here we are 🙂
How did your fiancé propose?
Ian had birthday plans for all of our friends doing a bottomless brunch. In anticipation of us having to leave Duke home alone all day we knew we needed to take him on a LONG walk to wear him down so he doesn’t disturb our neighbors. People were going to be meeting at our place early in the morning that Saturday so we decided to take him on a walk down the 606 Chicago Trail Friday night. We got tacos from our favorite Asian Fusion taco joint and proceeded to explore this path. It starts getting super late and I’m starting to power walk to get to our car because we have so much to do before our friends come over in the morning. I’m rushing ahead of Ian and can feel him dragging behind with the dog. I start getting super frustrated and am scolding him about dawdling as I turn around, he was on one knee and asked me to marry him 🙂
What are your favorite things to do together?
We’re obsessed with our dog Duke. We hang out with him basically all the time. If we can’t bring him, we aren’t going lol. We’re very bummed we can’t take him on our trip and for our photos. We’re very relaxed people, love a good night of wine and netflix, but would never turn down a day out with some brunch and mimosas. We’re also music/concert obsessed! We used to go to a concert a month together!
