This engagement session was a dream! We woke up before dawn when it was still dark and chilly outside, and went exploring Zion National Park as the sun rose. These two were such a great couple to work with! After editing these photos, all I wanted to do was curl up under a big cozy blanket! The awesome thing about this engagement session was that it was my first time shooting medium format film! I learned photography in high school on a film camera, and I have since dabbled in 35mm film with an old Canon AE-1. But this was my first time officially shooting film at a session, and I was so lucky to have Stephen from PhotoVision Prints helping me out. I have included all my film images at the end of this blog, so please check them out! They definitely have a different look and vibe compared to my digital photos. I recently purchased a Mamiya 645 AFd, so I can’t wait to start incorporating more film into my photography sessions.

But wait! There’s more! This is the first photo session where I used film as well! Here are some of the film images from this shoot, all shot on a Pentax 645 with fuji 400h film and scanned by the lovely people at Photovison Prints.
Thanks again to everyone involved!
